About
I work at the University and felt that, since the removal of the University run SUSSED classified service, an important part of the community had been lost at a stroke.
This site is my token effort to give something back to the University but, the powers that be would like me to stress, this is not a University service, it is not run by nor officially endorsed by the Uni.
Ok, so, having got the small print out of the way, why have I set up this site?
- I used to occasionally buy and sell stuff on the old site and found it was a great way of picking up a bargain and shifting some stuff.
- We have a 'captive' audience here and a tailored solution seems to make more sense than Gumtree, freeads, etc as the items are going to be local, are likely to be student specific and there should be a bit less of a trust issue as the sellers are fellow staff or students.

Have you seen how much perfectly usable stuff is dumped in bins, skips and tips?
There is a large green/recycling motivation to my doing this. If an item still has life, someone out there may appreciate the opportunity to recycle & reuse.
