We have established this privacy policy to explain to you how your information is protected, collected and used.
1/ Protecting your privacy
We don't share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We don’t sell or rent users’ personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
We will only extremely rarely send you emails about SotonClassifieds. So far this averages at one email per year.
Account information is password-protected. Whilst your initial password is sent by email, you can change this on first log in. These passwords are then encrypted on the server. Keep your password safe.
2/ Data we collect
We collect your University email address to authenticate user accounts, and provide a route for respondents to your ads to contact you.
3 / Data we store
All classified postings are stored in our database. Although we make good faith efforts to store the information in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public, we cannot guarantee complete security.
