Look, we're all adults here so I don't want us to get bogged down into a whole bunch of legalese, but let's lay down a few ground rules:
You are solely responsible for all information that you put in your adverts and any consequences that may result from them.
All ads offered for publication must be legal, decent, honest, truthful.
We won't usually edit your ads. We do, however, reserve the right to refuse and remove ads that we believe are inappropriate.
'Inappropriate' is a lovely term which covers a whole bunch of situations so use your common sense, e.g. nothing offensive, defamatory, illegal, no tobacco, no booze, no pirate software/cds, etc.
Every advert includes a series of "Report this ad" links which you can use if you believe there is a problem with someone's ad.
If you post a number of infringing ads or are felt to be deliberately trying to circumvent our 'appropriateness' policies, your account will be banned and you will be unable to post any further ads. We won't be entering into any correspondence with you on this - you're a grown-up, live with the consequences of your actions.
You are advised to check the details of advertisements carefully before entering into any agreement of any kind.
Soton Classifieds has no method of verifying the authenticity or accuracy of any advert and accepts no responsibility for any agreements entered into. If responding to an a, Id strongly suggest agreeing to meet in public places like the SU square. If you're going to an advertiser's house, strongly consider taking a friend with you.
If in doubt as to the nature or reliability of any advertisement please use your common sense, walk away from it, or seek legal advice.
Please don't waste your time or that of others. Oh, and don't be evil.
We reserve the right to change any of the Terms and Conditions (whether contained in these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy) at any time.
